| Signed Meissen crossed swords(Pre 1860)large compote measures 8 1/2" tall, 10 1/2" diameter of top bowl and 5 3/4" diameter of the base. This piece is in wonderful condition. We can only find one small age stress mark on the rim which we have photographed for you to see. There is no wear,restoration,damage on this early piece. This is a first quality piece as the mark indicates. Even the gold gilt is in mint condition. The compote is reticulated on both the base and the bowl. The stem also has hand painted flowers and bugs. We are pleased to have this porcelain done in the true Meissen quality. | ||
